According to Us Weekly, the couple is expecting. “Nelly and Ashanti are welcoming their first baby together,” the outlet’s source says. This is where I remind you that neither Ashanti, Nelly nor their representatives have confirmed this news.
The rumors started when they were performing together at Nelly’s 11th Black and White Ball on Sunday. The “Always on Time” singer put her hand on her stomach, with Nelly doing the same, causing the duo to burst into laughter. This inside joke was interpreted by fans to mean they were excited about a new arrival.
If she is pregnant, this would be Ashanti’s first child. Nelly is father to Chanelle, a 29-year-old daughter, and Cornell Haynes III, a 24-year-old son.
In November, the “Foolish” singer gifted the St. Louis native with his childhood dream car, a blue 1962 Impala convertible.
