My challenge project for 2022 is to paint 365 birds.

It will allow me to study one of the most varied and fascinating groups of animals on earth. There are about 10,000 living species so I will only scratch the surface!

Each one-of-a-kind painting is done in Windsor Newton gouache on Arches Cover paper. The cropped size is 5" x 7" but I'm including an image of the un-cropped painting as well.

Whenever possible, I am also posting a short video of the actual painting of the bird.

Each month I am choosing a different wildlife conservation organization.

The 4th group of birds are the 30 most endangered birds in North America.

I will donate 20% of the price of the painting to The American Bird Conservancy which protects birds all over the world.
